ParticipantHi,
I’m experiencing some issues with the calendar view of Events Calendar Pro.
Here is what I want to do:
Since it’s not possible to create reccuring events that follow an order like:
1. Event is on the 20th of March
2. Event (same like 1.) is on 12th of April
3. Event (same like 1. and 2.) is on 23th of Sept.
…I duplicated the Events with just changing the date and time.
So if a visitor sees an Event in the Calendar view an clicks it, he will not see the related events.
To connect the events with each other, event though Events Calendar Pro does not supoort this, i tried two different ways.
1st by using Sidebars (one with a special widget for each event):
I tried to create one Sidebar for every event-categorie. Then using Visual Composers Sidebar-feature to put the sidebar on the events-detail page.
2nd by using “Events Calendar Shortcode”-Plugin
I created Events-Categories and used this plugin to display a special Categorie on an Events-DetailpageAs soon as I use one of this methods to show a list of related Events on my Events-detailpage something strange happens:
The calendar view on my /events page shows the wrong event-titles. But when I hover over one event with my mouse the pop-up shows the right event from this date.

As soon as i deactivate “Events Calendar Shortcodes” plugin or remove all the sidebars I added with visual composer it seems to work.
I also tried to change my theme to Twenty Fourteen. Same issue. So my Impreza Theme that I use seems to be okay.
Thanks for your help.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having.
You are running into a bug in the month view when shortcodes are added to the Events it causes the title to incorrectly change.
It is a strange issue where those shortcodes overwrite the global $post variable.
We have a fix in the next release. I do not have a fix for this to give you though.
I am adding this thread to your bug ticket and we will update it once we have the fix released.
The next release should be coming out late next month, but that could change.
Thanks
