ParticipantI am getting the strings results upon upgrading: http://www.st-mikes.org/events/month/
All my events have multiplied like rabbits. It is only showing on the front end, the backend only has one listing per event…
I have tried everything. I deleted all the plugin files, and reuploaded them, I tried switching themes, tried changing permalinks. Weird right? I would love some insight. I am at a loss, and I really need help.Thank you,

MemberHey there Anthony. Thanks for the follow-up on this; I am definitely seeing the issue on your end (though of course, as seems to often be the case with these odd bugs, I cannot recreate it on my end).
I tried logging into the backend with the set of credentials you’d provided us in the past, and they have since expired. Any chance you can answer a couple questions for me accordingly? Specifically, related to the plugin versions: can you confirm you’re running 2.0.7 of both versions of the plugin? I’ve seen this particular problem when the versions are out of sync, but let me know if that’s not the issue you’re experiencing here.
Please also try switching to another template under Settings -> The Events Calendar -> Templates. From there, if you’re still having problems, re-activate or generate a new set of admin creds and send them to pro /a/ tri.be (with a link referencing this thread) so we can check out your configuration and try to recreate it exactly.
Thanks in advance, and for your patience so far.

ParticipantOn the plugins page it has both the of them listed as 2.0.7. I also reinstalled both of them just to make sure, and to no avail. I tried switching templates. Nothing. I just sent you an email.
Thank you,

ParticipantHi Anthony,
Rob’s out for the day so I’ll see what I can do to help you. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if there’s a conflict with one? What about reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme?

ParticipantHmmm, can you please email me WP admin access then so I can test some things out? Do I have permission to add some events, deactivate plugins, etc.? I’ll put everything back the way it was but need to see if for myself. Please email to pro [at] tri [dot] be
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Anthony,
It looks like most of the events on the website are recurring and I’m wondering if this has something to do with the duplication? I just created an event titled “Test” and set it to re-occur and did not see it duplicate like the others. Is there any particular pattern you can think of that’s common to all these events? Were they all newly created events or did they get migrated from a previous version or imported from somewhere else? Are you using a specific browser and have you tried a different browser? Have you created another event recently and does it still duplicate? What about if you create a non-recurring event?
Let me know,

Not really, most are every week for a while…Were they all newly created events or did they get migrated from a previous version or imported from somewhere else?
They are migrated from the same site using Wp Importer. We moved the installation from one host to another. Are you using a specific browser and have you tried a different browser?
I have tried on various browsers all with the same effect.Have you created another event recently and does it still duplicate? What about if you create a non-recurring event?
I have not tried creating a new event to see what has happened to new events created. I do need the old events working, however.Thank you,

ParticipantHi Anthony,
It appears there may be an issue either with importing events in general via the WordPress importer or just recurring events. I’m going to need to check with the rest of the team tomorrow to see if anyone else has come across this. Do you have any other way to migrate the data from the old website over? I always use this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-migrate-db/

ParticipantPlease keep me posted, I know the old admin is no longer accessible (at least I believe). I actually followed the instructions from the new hosting provider, but I think I will take at a look at the plugin you recommended. Should I just reenter all the information?

ParticipantI thought I should update this: I tried uploading the .xml file to a clean install the events calendar, and the same results are happening. I think I am going to have to re-enter all that information, aren’t I… let me know if there is a better solution (I can send you the .xml file if you think it will help). I do have a request though: It seems like there should be a clear export feature (Like the recommended exporter/importer) for the events calendar, so this issue wouldn’t depend on who’s exporter you are using. I have seen this in a few other plugins and it really is a nice feature.
Again, let me know if you can think of anything other than re-entering all the events. And please get back to me soon, because I need to get started on entering them if that is the only solution left for me.
Thank you,

ParticipantHi Anthony,
I’ve escalated this to have another dev take a look. I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks for your patience.

ParticipantHi Anthony,
I’m back, sorry for the delay. The developer got back to me on this and would like to get access to the old website so we can run an export from there. Is this possible?
Thanks,
