When I enter series events for a full year in January, there are problems. In Germany, the clock is set to daylight saving time at the end of March (1 hour presented) and 1 hour back at the end of October. My series (waste calendar of a community) has appointments every 2 weeks. All appointments that take place in the daylight saving time appear on 2 days in a row. In the list view, I could turn it off, but not in the calendar view. Besides, it is not good if there is a time in a full-day appointment.

Example: The date on 06. February (normal time) is displayed correctly and looks like this:
    Date:
    February 6th

The appointment on 03. April (daylight saving time) will be displayed on 03. and 04. April and is twice (on 03. and 04.) in the calendar view
    start:
    3rd of April | 23:00
    The End:
    4th of April | 22:59 clock

The date on October 13th (normal time) will be displayed correctly again:
    Date:
    November 13th

    What can I do?

    Margit,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the events. I will try to help you get it sorted.

Can you provide screenshots of your settings for both the WordPress Admin > Settings > General > Timezone, and the “Time and Date” settings on one of the events that is showing duplicates?

    Thanks!

    Sky

    Margit,

Thank you for those screenshots. Could you also check in Events > Settings > General and tell me what you have set for the “End of day cutoff” setting? Just to see if it makes a difference, can you set this ahead a few hours?

    Thanks,
    Sky

Is set 0:00 clock. Since the day in my series seems to start at 11pm, I would have liked to try it at 10pm or 11pm, but I can only choose between 0am – 11am.
In addition, I found that when a series has start times and end times, the start times and end times change with the start of daylight saving time.
Example: The event takes place from 15 Uhr (3 pm) to 17 Uhr (5 pm) (registered in January, in normal time). In the months with daylight saving time is displayed 14 Uhr (2 pm) to 16 Uhr (4pm).

    Margit,

The “end of day” setting is for events that may go a few hours past midnight. I can’t see any use case for setting it in the PM? This would make an event that started on Friday at 11pm show up as being on Saturday.

Can you review our knowledgebase articles on timezones and daylight savings time and check the settings in your site and on the events to make sure everything is configured properly?

    Thanks,
    Sky

The Plugin “WP Simple Booking Calendar” changes the world time (UTC). That’s the cause of the problem :-(.
    Thanks for your help.
