Pro won't download as zip

I just purchased pro for my site. I have a mac. When I download it, it is not a zip file and I cannot upload it in wordpress. Help! How can I get the file to upload.

Hi gsparks,

Safari and some other browsers (possibly due to a setting or due to a browser extension) occasionally take it upon themselves to automatically extract downloaded zip files.

If that’s the case here – and I suspect it might be – you’ve got a couple of choices:

• Zip them back up! On most systems this can be done with a few mouse clicks
• Use a different browser that doesn’t behave this way
