GuestHi !
Before to purchase the pro version, I have 2 questions for you.
I am the editor in chief of a website which publish a calendar and reviews of plays in Montreal and Quebec City, Canada. I would like to use the Event Calendar for touring plays. So, you can imagine they have multiple dates on several locations.
Is there a way, in the Pro version, to add date to one single event ? Per instance, Macbeth plays at La Fontaine Park July 21, and at Molson Park on July 25 and 26. Is there a way to add dates to the event instead of recreate the event for each date ?
Also, my website is not totally on WordPress. The WordPress part is for interviews, news and the touring calendar. The HTML part is for another type of calendar (handmade, b/c too much information to show). In the HTML page, I would like to show “this week’s events” from The Events Calendar, and put a link to the complete calendar. A kind of widget, in an iframe. Is there a way to do that ?
Thank you !

MemberHi David,
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! 🙂 If you’re looking to have multiple separate dates for a single event on your calendar, you can achieve this with Events Calendar PRO‘s recurring event functionality. This feature allows you to create events that repeat on a regular schedule (such as weekly, monthly, etc.), or you can use the single event scheduling type to place events on specific dates that may not follow any particular pattern. The second setup sounds like it may be the best fit for your needs–I’d suggest giving it a try to see how it works for you! You can learn all about recurring events in Events Calendar PRO and how to set them up on our Knowledgebase here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
As far as embedding options for non-WordPress sites, I’m afraid that we don’t offer any solutions for static HTML sites or non-WordPress CMSes at this time. Some of our users have had success using iframes in the manner you indicate here to drop in embedded calendar views–this may be an option if you’re willing to experiment a bit! Should we expand our offerings to include products such as these in the future, we’ll be sure to announce it here! You can always keep up with our latest product releases and other TEC news by following us on Facebook or Twitter or subscribing to our newsletter.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you should have any other questions!
