I was getting a TON of site errors due to capacity and processes- I have been working on this for 3 weeks and have narrowed the problem down to Events Calendar Pro. I had to deactivate it and I’m not sure what all I need besides the recurring events, but even the backend dashboard was running super slow.

I’m sorry to bring this to your doorstep. There’s a chance it’s a conflict with another plugin and I can provide login details if that would help at all. I did leave them in previous posts.

    Adding system info:

    System info:
    Wordpress 4.3
    The Events Calendar: 3.11.2
    The Events Calendar Pro: 3.11.1
The Events Calendar Community Events: 3.11

    Hey Andrea,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Would you mind posting the system information from the Event Settings > Help tab into a private reply here?

A couple of questions that to get us started as well:

    1. How many events are you currently hosting on your site? When creating recurring events, how far into the future do you have them created for?
    2. Do you have any caching set up on your site? We did add a month view cache in the latest version of the plugin, do you have that activated under the Display tab within the Event settings https://cloudup.com/ciQPbmKx5jL.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

Thanks for following up with this information!

    A couple of notes:

    1. Could you try disabling and purging the W3 cache and just activating the built-in calendar cache as a test? Not proposing this as a long-term solution, just want to see if the built-in cache on it’s own is able to speed up your events pages.
    2. For the dashboard, have you tried turning on WP_Debug and using a tool such as the WP Debug Bar? If you’re seeing some delays, this plugin will help to narrow in on the long queries and may help us get pointed in a good direction in determining what may be happening here.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!WP Debug Bar
