    Hello!

I had written previously about file structure ( https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/file-structure-for-editing-tribe-events-ajax-maps-js-in-the-child-theme/ ) to avoid our tribe-events-ajax-maps.js and tribe-events-ajax-maps.min.js files from being overwritten with plugin updates. I was just hoping to get some clarification please as the setup listed below doesn’t seem to be working properly.

Within our child theme, we have created a folder called tribe-events. Within the tribe-events folder, the following is our file structure:

    pro/src/resources/js/tribe-events-ajax-maps.min.js

This file path isn’t correct, looking to find the proper structure please.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jonah!

Thanks for coming back to us! 🙂

Unfortunately, there is no built in way to make an override of the javascript files.

If you want to customize those files without being affected by plugin updates, then you could dequeue the script and then enqueuing your own.

I hope that helps! Let me know if any other questions.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
