Private event show in mini calendar widget

Hi,

I’m using the Events Calendar Pro to manage bookings of our village hall. I basically want to use the mini calendar widget to display a list of events with the tag “village hall” so user’s can check availability before ringing up. This page is: http://fernham.bbpdev.com/village-hall/hall-bookings/

I was wondering if it could be configured to show private events in the calendar widget but not show their details, so someone would see the hall is busy but not see the contents of the event. Just “Private Event” as the name and the timings of it would be perfect.

Any advice of how to go about this would be great, my initial thought was maybe a custom tag or category that would mask the events details in the widget, not sure how to go about implementing that though.

Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can try to help out here, but I am limited in providing support on customizations.

It is possible that you could modify the template following our themer’s guide, but it would take knowledge in php, css, and html to do it:

There you could detect if an event is in a certain Event Category and change the title.

Another option that does not involve coding is to just create events for each one and call it Private Event.

I can try to answer some more questions about this, but limited in much more then this.
