ParticipantI m a very frustrated customer who notices that there is no “easy” way to make the calendar private and accessible to members only. I have two questions pertaining to the matter.
1. Directed towards the developers, is an option being developed to make the calendar private, because the calendar contains sensitive information that should not be viewed by non-members.
2. In the meantime, does anyone know how to manually alter this? The core problem is that the website is being hosted externally, and as a result, I do not have access to any files that are not on the wordpress dashboard/plugin editor. And prior to my website going live, I tried to alter my php files (for another plugin) and it crashed my website causing me to restart, so you can see my reason for hesitation. The theme is zerif lite (if that is relevant).

ParticipantHey Noah,
I’m sorry for the frustrating limitations here. While, in all honesty, we don’t have many privacy-related improvements on the horizon (in the short-term, specifically!), I hope that I can help out here by recommending a lightweight plugin that should help with the privacy element.
The plugin is called “Restrict Content”, and is free ? https://wordpress.org/plugins/restrict-content/
That plugin, or a similar one, may help you make the calendar visible only to certain approved members on your site.
I hope this helps—please let me know if so and if there’s anything else I can try to help with.
Sincerely,

ParticipantThanks George for the reply,
This partially solves my problem. Although this plugin gives myself as an administrator, the ability to submit and alter the privacy settings for a particular event, the general users are utilizing community events, and under this menu, there is no option to restrict content. Further more, the optimal solution would be an automatic user-only restriction to only non-members, rather than the users (who frankly are all very unfamiliar with computer in general due to the demographics of the program) having to manually change it.
Thanks again,

ParticipantI appreciate your feedback, Noah, and am sorry to have to bear the news that the specific features you describe are not possible with our plugins at this time. 🙁
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can try to help with.
