Hi Tribers,
We recently sent a survey to 4000 customers who all bought tickets thru the tribe calendar. They were collected from 20 concerts in classical music from 20 different organizers (all thru community tickets, amateur orchestras). 1178 customers completed the survey and they were customers who almost all (79%) bought tickets for the first time thru our website.
Because we didn’t want the ability to add an image to ticket to influence the results we disabled that option. So the tickets people received was just the core ticket. We also did not customize the ticket ourselves.
We asked a series of questions which we mostly related to ‘ease of use’ and general satisfaction of the whole ticket buying process.
The results (part of them, since we won’t bother you with irrelevant stuff
As we expected, almost everything was positive! The whole process received a 4.3 on the scale: hard 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 -5 – easy.
84% of the customers would buy tickets thru the website again if offered by the organizer. However, there is also the 16% which did not want to buy tickets thru the website again. From this 16%, a staggering 96% said it was due to the poor printing capabilities of the tickets. The free text parts mostly gave answers like ‘wrong breaking’ or ‘not being able to forward single tickets’. There were some quite frustrating comments about printing multiple tickets.
We would like to note that in the ‘yes’ camp there were also many people who had issues with the printing but for them it was apparently not a reason to steer away the next time!
One other frequently given suggestion was a way to distinguish concerts (events) with open tickets sales from the rest of the concerts in the calendar, but this was a minor thing. So, many reasons to be happy I think, but maybe also a good lead to do something about the HTML tickets ;). Or is there already a solution for this?
Cheers,
Dirkps. If you would like to have more of the results we can send them to you but we didn’t want the clutter the forums and we would need to translate the results for you.

WOW! To quote one of my colleagues: “This looks epic!” 🙂
Thank you very much for this great feedback and sharing the data. It is absolutely amazing!
We would be thrilled to read the full report if you are willing to share and can provide a rough translation. (Unfortunately we don’t yet have anybody on the team speaking Dutch. 🙂 )
Thanks and cheers,
AndrasPS: The site looks great, I’m a big Divi fan! 🙂
