ParticipantHi there,
I recently purchased this plugin for a student association website. This is our first year selling tickets to events for our members online and so far I’ve found the plugin fantastic. I do have one gripe though – the tickets can get messy quickly, particularly when one person purchases multiple tickets. Whilst most of our members would use smart phones with the ticket email to gain entry to the event, some people would print out the tickets and end up with one over two pages etc. This obviously doesn’t look good at the door.
I see this has been asked before in the past but was just wondering about a possible follow up in regards to the possibility of:
(1) Being able to format emails to not have tickets print over the page and (2) Making the tickets pdf files and email them as attachments instead.Thank you for your time

MemberHi! Some great questions there.
Ultimately we switched away from PDF tickets and no small part of that was a desire to make customization of ticket emails easier. The flip side of course is that fine grained control is less in our power, one facet of that being the inability to control page breaks in a consistent manner.
Generally speaking though we feel the balance is pretty good – but we’re certainly always open to new ideas and if you’d like to propose an alternative means of handling this we’d welcome your feedback via our UserVoice page:
Beyond that, it’s certainly possible to build out a custom ticket email implementation (which might dispatch PDF-based ticket emails), but that is as you can imagine a fairly involved customization and it would really be beyond the scope of the forum to guide you through that one.
Does that clarify things and do you have any further questions?

ParticipantThank you for your prompt reply! I’ll head over to the uservoice page now and see if there is anything there that I’d support.
As a follow up question – there are a lot of people who use your plugin. Far more than there have been threads about the page break issue. Do you know what they have done to avoid the issue, or if any of the other users are reading, are they able to respond with some advice?

MemberWe can definitely see if others can chip in with additional advice, I think in the main though the reality is that enforcing page breaks in HTML emails is, quite simply, as good as impossible – at least in an effective way that works across all or most email clients.
Generally speaking I wonder if it creates a problem for most users? It may be that those cases where customers order multiple tickets they can simply print off the pages, staple them together and present them at the venue without it causing too much of an issue?
