Price options & total ticket count

Hello —
I see that tickets can be set up with multiple price options using Events Tickets Plus (i.e., different prices for children, adults, etc.). I’m wondering if each purchase of a ticket, regardless of the price option, will count against the _total_ number of available tickets.

For instance, my event has a maximum of 100 tickets available. Depending on your age category, you would pay a different amount when you buy one of those 100 tickets. So, if one child ticket is purchased at $5, and one adult ticket is purchased at $10, I need the total number of available tickets to be reduced by 2, so 98 tickets would remain.

I’m seeing an example elsewhere in the forum where it looks like there would have to be a specfic number of available tickets defined for _each price category_ rather than a single total number of tickets defined. (Hoping this is not the case.)

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

As of right now we do not have a global stock per event it is done per ticket.

We are working on this feature and hope to have it in the next couple of releases, but I do not have a timeline for that.

Thanks for the reply, Brian. This would be a great feature, making the ticket sales plugin much more usable! I currently have five implementations in progress that need this feature, as multiple ticket prices with total number of tickets limited by venue size is very common with most events in the arts, meetings, etc. Any prediction of when this feature will be released would also be very helpful. Thank you!

I agree it would be a great feature.

We are developing it now. I hope it comes in one of the next two major releases, but that could change so I am not making any promises and cannot say for sure when it will be released.
