ParticipantHi there folks,
Had a bit of a search for this, but couldn’t find anyone logging the same issue.
I just bought the EDD Tickets extension and have found that when purchasing multiple tickets it adds a couple of cents onto the price.
So for example, I have an event that has a Front Row ticket for $50 and a Standard ticket for $15.
If you try to purchase 4x Standard tickets and 1x Front Row ticket, you would expect the price to be $110. But instead it’s $110.01.
Some additional info:
– I have tried it with tax on and off, same issue. We have a GST tax of 10%, the tax calculation appears to be fine ($10 in this case).
– As you add more tickets, the extra cents add up. I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal, 1c adding on to the price, but it’s incorrect and people simply won’t purchase if something doesn’t add up right.
– I double checked the price in EDD and it is showing just 15.00 and 50.00, no extra digits there.
– I have “prices entered with tax” set to “Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax” in the EDD settings.
– On experimenting, it seems to be adding the 1c when you have 2 tickets or more of the Standard ticket
– If you try to instead add 2x Front Row and 1x Standard it’s actually 1c less than it should be
– You can play around with it here: http://dev.rymera.com.au/qlecs/wordpress/event/sample-event/June 25, 2014 at 8:14 am #250179Barry
MemberHi – sorry to hear you’re facing difficulties. The problem looks like it sits with the tax calculation:
30 x ( 1 / 1.10 ) = 27.272727This is being rounded upwards, though, to 27.28 rather than staying as 27.27 – hence the extra penny.
EDD Tickets doesn’t actually interfere with this side of things, it’s all managed by EDD itself: if I test the same scenario out locally using just EDD (ie, no ticketing involved) I see the same thing – so I think that the best course of action here would be to post a request for help over on the EDD forum, or add an issue on their issue tracker (there may even be an existing one).

ParticipantThanks Barry, much appreciated and glad to see that it was an EDD issue. I will chase it up with Pippin and see what we can do. I’ll just hold off on closing this for a little bit until I can report back with what the fix is.

I’ll go ahead and close out the thread but if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed.
