Participanthello!
i thought we got this issue sorted through a previous thread–but it seems perhaps not. you’ll notice that if you head over to my calendar, and click previous events, you’ll see november events at the top of the page (which is an improvement from before i updated the plugin). and if you then click the previous events link again, you’ll see october events at the top of the page.
the issue is that if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you’ll see another listing for november?! and if you click previous events one more time, you’ll see september events at the top of the page, and then october events below that.
is there a fix that will simply display my previous events in the proper order (most recent first?)

MemberHey there, Emily — welcome back.
First off, nice site! It’s been a little while since I’ve seen in and the calendar is looking great. The color palette you chose for Category Colors is awesome.
I clicked around a little bit and tried using the Previous Events link to navigate back in time. Each month seemed to work as I was checking and the events appeared to be in the proper order. In other words, all the events in September took place in September, except for the first two days of October, which properly displayed October events.
Did you happen to resolve this on your own? Or perhaps I’m looking in the wrong place? Let me know!
Also, we did end up releasing The Events Calendar 4.0.3 yesterday. Be sure to update the plugins because it would be worth seeing if that clears things up if the issue continues to occur.
Thanks!

MemberHi Emily,
Thanks for updating the plugins and sharing the URL!
What you’re describing (and I what I see on the site) is how the list of events is expected to behave. Each time the Previous Events link is clicked, it should show the next set of past events from the previous page, starting with the oldest events up top and the newest ones at the bottom. In other words, it i correct that events in October would display above events in November when viewing past events.
Let me know if that helps clarify things a bit–or perhaps if I’m looking in the wrong place and you can steer me in the right direction.
Thanks!

Participanthi geoff–
so there is no way to make that list simply go backwards? the way it works now is that you click previous events, and instead of going in reverse chronological order, they go in chronological order per page. so, if im simply flipping back through previous events to see what the organization has been doing over the past efw months, it doesnt readily make sense to a viewer that they are in sets, grouped by what will fit on the page.
is it possible to simply list them in reverse chronological order?
thanks again,

MemberHi Emily,
You could use a snippet like this one to display past events in reverse chronological order:

Let me know if that helps do the trick.
Cheers!
