Hello

I work for a university and am looking for a calendaring solution that ticks lots of boxes! I think the service from you guys in brilliant so I am hoping this works for us:)

As I am planning on one master calendar with lots of categories (schools, student groups etc), can you let me know if:

– I can have unlimited categories?
– Have a calendar dedicated do a particular category? (For e.g. if I want the School of Law page to only show Law category events)
– As I need to archive events, can I can view past events?

Also, could you please help me out with plugins? I know I need the community add on but am unsure if I need Core or Pro. Will I need to purchase the filter add on as well? Or does the core or pro allow basic category filtering?

Also, I want be able to get approval until tomorrow – is there anyway you can extend the Black Friday specials?

Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can help out here.

Yes

The plugin does create a Category View for each Event Category with the main views of month, list, map, etc…

For example if you have an event category of Lettuce the url is this:

yoursite.com/events/category/lettuce/

So that is one way to show only events from one category in the main views and you can link directly to any of those.

Yes

and for all three of those you can try it in the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

Core does have basic searching of events and filtering by date or searching by keyword.

Pro is only needed if you would like Pro features all the plugins only need the core version to work.
