ParticipantMy theme from Premium Press uses the account function to manage users. Can I use the Community Events plugin and require Accounts effectively? When a user logs in now they get my Premium Press theme’s Account Page and not the one for the community. Need help figuring this out. Thanks.

Participantmslice,
Thanks for getting in touch! Hopefully I can help you out here, but first I need a little more information. After logging in here (http://medpartnerselect.com/events/community/add) are you redirected to the Community Event Submission form? Thanks! 🙂

Participanthanks for your help.
When a user tries to log in, it takes them to my main themes account page and nothing to do with events. If they try to register, it does the same. Is there a setting I’m missing?

ParticipantUnfortunately it appears that this is a setting specific to your theme. I would reach out to the developer of your theme and see if there’s a way to disable the redirect after a user logs in. I hope that helps! Good luck! 🙂

ParticipantI found this on their support site. Is this possible to edit the add / login page to accomplish this you think? I’m not a developer so don’t have mad skills but can edit some code if needed.
http://www.yoursite.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://www.yoursite.com/yourpageafterlogin/ – the user will be taken to normal login page and after successful login they will be taken to the /yourpageafterlogin/ page.

Participantmslice,
The Community login page should already be correctly redirecting the user after they login at this URL: http://medpartnerselect.com/events/community/add If that’s not currently happening, I would try temporarily deactivating all of your plugins to see if there’s a plugin that’s overriding the Community redirect settings. If that doesn’t help, try temporarily switching your theme to 2013 to see if that resolves the issue. That will helps us to narrow down where the redirect is happening.Give that a shot. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantTried that already with no luck. After I’m logged in as a user (except as an administrator) I can’t even get to the link http://medpartnerselect.com/events/community/add. It takes me to a login screen even if I’m logged in. Then if I log in it takes me to my themes account page.
I think I’d just like to get a refund since it’s not working for me on my theme. Please let me know how to proceed.
