GuestWe are trying to sell tickets to a conference (the event). Part of the registration requires the buyer to fill out a registration form. We are currently using woocommerce to sell the registration and have included a link to the registration form in the emailed receipt, but that’s not working. People keep missing the link. If we instead use the tickets plug-in, would that allow us to tie in the purchase with a registration form in a better way?

ParticipantHello Jeanette,
If I understand your situation correctly, it sounds like our WooCommerce Tickets add-on – along with The Events Calendar (free) plugin – would do the trick for you. The tickets are managed as WooCommerce products. I’m not sure what information you collect on your registration form, but the tickets do collect name and email as well as information about the ticket.
Do you have any additional questions?

GuestHi Judi,
We’d need to collect email, fname, lname, phone number, name of school, city, state, and a drop down field for position (ie, principal, student, teacher, etc). Some fields are required, some aren’t. We also need to enter a discount code for ticket purchases. Does that seem doable?

ParticipantHi Jeanette,
Hehe. No worries on the name. Even my mother does that from time to time. 🙂
Gathering the additional information you mentioned is not something the plugin is designed to do. It might be possible with customization, but I’m not sure how that would work to be honest. Might be a question for the WooCommerce folks even. But it also something that’s on our roadmap for development, but it’s just not available yet.
And it is possible to do discounts based on time, but the plugin can’t do discounts based on discount codes.
I’m sorry we don’t have these features available for you at the present time. If I can be of any further help, just let me know.
