We are possibly on the brink of purchasing TEC-pro and Community Listings for our entertainments website. We would like to use “organisers” as our ‘performers’ – would it be simple to edit this terminology in the language file?
Is it possible to list events by “organiser” showing a list of events by that organiser – much like you can list an individual venue showing the events taking place at that venue?
Also, we would like the ability to export data to a csv file – as far as I can see the only native option is iCal.
Finally, is there an option to list basic information (without the images & detail text)?
Thanks in advance.

Changing “organisers” to “performers” should be fairly straightforward using this guide: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-word-events-to-something-else/
You can show a list of events by organizer, here is an example from our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/organizer/lance-willett/
Typically, ics is a much better format for calendar data exports, which why we offer this as the export option in Events Calendar Pro. There is a 3rd party (unsupported) plugin to do a CSV export, though it appears to be fairly old. https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-calendar-exporter/
To get an additional view without images and detail text, I believe you would need to create a custom template. This would require your own custom development, but with custom templates, almost anything becomes possible! 🙂
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Another question – using Community Events, when a registered user creates an event and is is subsequently published by an admin, can any registered user edit the event or only the creator or admins? In other words does the original creator “own” that event?

The original “community organizer” owns the event and only they can edit it from the front end. From the WordPress Dashboard, you as an admin can still edit any events on the site.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
April 29, 2015 at 8:37 am #959268TonyGuestAgain thank you Zach,
I need to go back to the export issue. Understand the usefulness of iCal exports however we export our events data to a CSV file because we print a magazine which includes our event listings. I have looked at the third party plugin and don’t want to rely on an old and not well reviewed plugin for what is a key part of our operation. Can you give me an estimate on what it would cost to develop the CSV export facility for us please? (Or indeed if that is a realistic thing to ask of you guys!)
Thanks in advance.
