GuestHello,
I have a couple of questions before we decide if we will purchase the calendar. This is our current calendar http://lakeviewamphitheatre.com/events/ however the concert season is over so please refer to this page (one of our test sites) http://a74.405.myftpupload.com/events/ . We are currently doing our calendar manually, and we would like a plugin to do this stuff for us. Our ultimate goal is to make our calendar look something like this http://www.usbankstadium.com/events (this was one of the showcased calendars from modern tribe)
1. Are we able to display past events? Possibly with shortcode or using a category
2. We are selling tickets, but not on the site. All ticket purchases are handled through ticket master. All we need is a ticket button that links to the ticket master page. What product(s) on here would allow us to do this feature? Is it just buying the pro version or do we also need to buy a ticket plugin as well?
3. Can calendars look like the US bank stadium because I know they customized their calendar. We have installed the free version of the plugin, and doesn’t really look similar to it. Layout, css, etc is all different. Is this the right page for learning how to do this https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/?utm_medium=plugin-tec&utm_source=helptab&utm_campaign=in-app
I look forward to hearing from you

MemberHey Joey,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our products 🙂
1. Are we able to display past events? Possibly with shortcode or using a category
Sure, that possible by using the events URL + ‘/past/’. For example: http://wpshindig.com/events/past
2. We are selling tickets, but not on the site. All ticket purchases are handled through ticket master. All we need is a ticket button that links to the ticket master page. What product(s) on here would allow us to do this feature? Is it just buying the pro version or do we also need to buy a ticket plugin as well?
No add-ons needed for that. You might implement this via WordPress custom fields or by using the website field of the event. Events Calendar PRO comes with a feature that might help as well: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-additional-fields/
3. Can calendars look like the US bank stadium because I know they customized their calendar. We have installed the free version of the plugin, and doesn’t really look similar to it. Layout, css, etc is all different. Is this the right page for learning how to do this https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
Well, it looks like they changed their site after they have been added to the showcase. While they might be still using our plugin for the back-end (or not) they have a super customized front-end! You can get to something similar though by using CSS mostly and some template overrides. The themer’s guide is the best place to start familiarizing with how to tweak the plugin views. If you are not much familiarized with coding you might want to try out a theme compatible with The Events Calendar, which already customizes the views like: Eventica.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
