Pre-fill fields

I’d like to know is there is someway to pre-fill several different fields and options (including the description and/or title) for Community Events?

I’m using it to do just one type of event (like a house party) that people would submit that they are doing one in a particular city/state. So it would be ideal to pre-fill in fields rather than having to provide instructions to keep it consistent.

Angel,
You should be able to pre-fill the title & description fields using the following:

1) Make sure you do a template override first (https://theeventscalendar.com/faq/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/)
2) Then find your event-form.php file and then replace that file with the following code: https://gist.github.com/3952720

I was able to successfully test this in my environment, but let me know if you have any issues. Thanks!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you’ll need to change lines 29 & 32 to match the text that you want to be pre-filled in the field. 🙂
