ParticipantHi Tri.be people
Firstly, thank you for making this useful and cool plugin.
I am setting up Tri.be on my site and am having a few problems, having searched the Forum and not found a useful answer I hope you can help. The events I am creating are not showing up in my main blog feed. I am guessing that the issue is because I have specified a particular category ‘tango thoughts’ to be the default for all posts. I am unable to set or select this category as an events category as it creates a ‘second version’ of the category each time, ie ‘tango-thoughts-2’ there seems no way to share the exisiting categories between WP and events.
Would you be able to suggest a way to get the events to show up in my blog feed? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

ParticipantHey atasteoftango,
I’m not sure I fully understand the issue. Have you checked the box on the Events > Settings > General tab that includes events in the mail blog loop? (It’s the last option shown on this screenshot https://cloudup.com/cc2iAvsvvkS) Or are you having trouble with them displaying after that box has been checked?

ParticipantHi Julie
Sorry if it wasn’t clear. Yes I checked the box that includes events in the mail blog loop. HoweverI can only choose one default post category in the main WP settings and none of these categories show up in the Events category options. So there seems to be a wall between the two sets of categories.
When I tried to set up the the same category as the blog in the events categories, it comes up as a second version.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi! It sounds like perhaps you are describing a facet of your theme or another plugin here – ordinarily, WordPress does not restrict your main blog loop to a specific category. If that is the case, ie your theme is imposing this restriction, it will unfortunately be a little tricky for us to help out with this one.

ParticipantThis is true of many themes – its hardly the themes fault. Events Cal Pro Events cannot share categories made with Posts.
