ParticipantHi!
I’m having the same issue described here and turning off the Post Types Order plugin does solve the problem. I’m just wondering if the workaround you described in the previous thread has worked for anyone, or if you’re aware of another workaround? I would really like to keep using the Post Types Order plugin, but obviously it’s a deal-breaker if events don’t display in the right order.
Thanks!
Kim

ParticipantHey Kim,
Sorry for your frustrations here – as far as I know, there hasn’t been any feedback on the information Brian shared with the other customer in that post you linked to. However, Brian’s comments are still definitely a great starting place to work from.
To elaborate on that: it seems like there should be some way to limit the Post Types Order plugin from affecting certain post types. I’m not familiar with the plugin myself, but I’d recommend contacting the developer or using the plugin’s support forums to see if you can keep the plugin from affecting the following post types:
• tribe_events
• tribe_organizer
• tribe_venueOn a quick google search for some more info about this plugin, I found this article → http://tidyrepo.com/post-types-order/
Apparently there’s an “Auto-Sort” option within the plugin that you can turn off, and as described in that article, it seems like with a little bit of code you can keep the Post Types Order plugin from affecting certain types.
Definitely contact the developer/plugin support first, and in the meantime, see if you can play around with what that article describes in regard to disabling the “Auto-Sort” feature. Let us know what you find! (And if you start writing custom code, be sure to back everything up before starting to experiment! 🙂 )

ParticipantHello,
This issue’s been sitting here a while so I’m going to go ahead and close it for now – if other issues arise, don’t hesitate to come back and open a new ticket, and if you need to open a new ticket about the same issues you originally brought up here, please share a link to this original ticket so we can pick up where we left off.
Cheers!
