Possible to limit discount to certain number of tickets?

Hello,

I would like to create a discount which expires after a certain number of tickets are bought. The discount is limited to, say, 15 users, so when user 16 buys a ticket they do not receive a discount. Is this possible using your plugin?

Hi Brian. Our Event Tickets Plus add-on to Event Tickets allows you to sell paid tickets.

Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.

You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.

Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.

Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. example.com/events/rogers-day-at-the-zoo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.

The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.

All that is general information… To answer your specific question, ET+ does not have any coupon functionality; that would need to be handled via your eCommerce platform.

Thanks Cliff. Makes sense to me. Looks like WooCommerce has an option to limit how many times a coupon may be used. Can you confirm that what I wrote in my first post is possible using The Events Calendar plugin?

If you choose WooCommerce, then Event Tickets Plus will send the user to your WooCommerce checkout page (to enter coupon code or complete the checkout/payment). Therefore, I think it’s safe to say “yes, it’ll work,” but I can’t guarantee anything specific to WooCommerce, and you’d have to contact their support if such a coupon code doesn’t work. Basically, we add it to the user’s cart and if the cart doesn’t function as it should, that needs to be brought to WooCommerce’s attention.
