Possible to have standby attendees?

We have free public events with limited seating, We would like to allow people to register for the event (and I believe we can do this with one of the ticketing solutions, setting an attendance limit and setting the sales price to $0.00). However, is it possible to allow people to register as back-ups, alternates, or standbys…basically people that we can notify if we have a cancellation and a seat opens up at the event.

Thanks for the interest in our plugins we do not have a back up or wait list feature for any of our ticketing plugins.

After tickets are sold out you could create a new free ticket called back-ups, alternates, or standbys and use the people who checkout with that as the list.

It would not be a perfect system so it would take a lot of manual editing of orders and there would be no way to transfer people between tickets either.
