GuestDear support,
I’m looking to change the background colour and layout of the both the listing of featured events, and also the same for the widget list of events. I know I can edit the css, but I wonder if it is possible to do it in a simpler way in the premium version of the calendar. I would like the lists to have the same size of the picture and text, but just a different bg colour. For the widget list I want the thumbnail that comes with the premium for all of my events, not only the premium ones. Is that possible to fix in the pro version or will I still need to edit the css?Best regards

MemberHi Peter
Events Calendar Pro does not add additional settings really. You can find many of our elements to edit in Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.
Can you elaborate more on the thumbnail?
Thanks

GuestHi Courtney,
Thanks for your advice! However I can not find to make the customisation I am looking for there. I’d like to change both the text colour and the background colour of the featured events in the “upcoming events” widget. But still keep the thumbnail. See the right column on the website: http://test-www.renaremark.se/natvarket/about/I would also like all events in the “main” listing of events to look like the “non featured”, that is with a smaller thumbnail, no background colour and not taking up so much space. See http://test-www.renaremark.se/events/kategori/renaremark-2/
Thanks a lot for your help!
Best regards

MemberHi Peter
If you aren’t finding the settings in Appearance » Customize, then it will require CSS editing.
- Start by modifying what you can at Appearance » Customize » The Events Calendar.
- We generally don’t recommend that you change the theme or plugin’s CSS files directly, as they will be overwritten. To avoid this, follow the steps outlined in Themer’s Guide
- Use overriding CSS files, or add CSS to your site using Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS.
- Use !important before a semicolon to override every css rule. It’s a brute force method, but works for quick fixes.
- Please check out this Customizing WordPress #2 – Using Chrome Developers Tools YouTube video in addition to our Using Chrome Developer Tools tutorial on how to easily make changes using CSS.
For addititonal customizations, such as modifying the thumbnails of your events listing, you can start with our Themer’s Guide.
These are not options built in to our plugins beyond what you can find in the Customizer. If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
You can suggest it it http://tribe.uservoice.com.
If we release those features, we will update the UserVoice thread so you will be notified.
Thanks
