    HI there,
I have a test site and a live site. The Event Calendar update went fine. I upgraded both sites, had some problems with PRO, so manually upgraded them as I have done in the past.
On the test site in the fileset, I have one folder Events-Calendar-Pro and The-Events-Calendar-Community-Events. I have deleted the contents of this folder and restore the new files to it. I now have two plugins showing in my dashboard. one for 4.0.7 and one for 4.1.
How do I get rid of 4.0.7. This has not happened before. Is this something in the database? or is is simply a file?
    ______
ON the live site, I tried to update by automatically updating the plugin. I now have two directories with a very long name.
    theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-calendar-proversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-4Tb22c
    and
    theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-communityversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-2QF7qh
    Can I just rename these?
    thanks for your help.

    Hi. Sorry you experienced this.

Of course, I can’t know your setups exactly (so “not it” if something bad happens 😉 but you should be able to:

    • delete the plugins to get rid of both 4.0.7 and 4.1
    • re-install version 4.1 to make sure you are only using the latest version (it was probably caused by the same issue as your live site — weird plugin folder name created and old folder not getting deleted)
    • yes, you can rename the folders (or just delete them and re-install afresh)

You can download the latest versions at https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

I hope this helps. Sorry for the inconvenience. In case you’re wondering, the issue is resolved for future automatic updates.
