Hello! I’m helping redesign the graphics of a website that has already purchased The Events Calendar Pro and has it installed. However, The Event Calendar is not installed so I can’t access Pro. In trying to install the Event Calendar, the plugin fails every time because there is already a destination folder. I tried deleting Pro and starting fresh, but it still says there is already a destination folder. I’m very unfamiliar with FTP as I do mostly graphic design. Is FTP the only way to fix this?

This topic can be closed. I assumed FTP was the way it needed to be done, so I just took a crash course in what FTP is. I will try to delete and re upload the plugin this way. Thank you.

FTP is indeed the recommended solution here, at least in terms of deleting the version of The Events Calendar’s files already on your site.

Once those are gone, you should be able to use the wp-admin uploading tools and stuff without error…

We’ll close this thread for now based on your last comments, but please open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise!

    Cheers,
