GuestHi,
I am hoping to use your plugin on client’s website, however the /Events/ page does not seem to be loading correctly at all, almost like all the formatting has gone and it is just showing text instead?
http://bigrockdesigns.badwolfproductions.co.uk/events/
I’ve not really configured much yet, bar adding an organiser, locations and a test event, but it seems like something is broken for not even the calendar to display?
Can you assist?
Thank you

MemberGood afternoon Mark and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your question.I am hoping to use your plugin on client’s website, however the /Events/ page does not seem to be loading correctly at all, almost like all the formatting has gone and it is just showing text instead?
There are 2 things I would recommend to fix this:
- Please make sure that there is actually not a “real” page called “events” (with the /events/ slug). The reason for this is that the calendar is not a real page, but it still needs exclusivity over the /events/ slug.
- Head over to Events -> Settings -> Display and try different setting for the Events Template option.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

GuestThanks Geoff,
I changed the template from ‘Default Page Template’ to ‘Default Events Template’ and that has fixed it!
I have 2 more queries if possible;
– Is there a way to shift the content down the page? As you you can see here – http://bigrockdesigns.badwolfproductions.co.uk/events/ my top bar (which is custom coded in to my site) pushes my header down which in turn covers the search function of the Events Calendar. Can you think of a solution for this?
– Secondly, Is there a way to link the calendar entries to another URL? I.e the Photoshop Introduction courses that are on there, rather than clicking that and it bringing me to the event page, I would ideally want this instead to link to the PS product page.
Thanks again

MemberGood evening Mark,
First off happy new year!
I want to extend our sincere apologies for the delay answering.
Your reply simply never appeared on our radars before just now for some unexplained reason ?!Is there a way to shift the content down the page? It looks like this page has been removed.
I am pretty sure there is an easy fix for this if you can get the page back up 🙂Some simple CSS should do the trick.
Secondly, Is there a way to link the calendar entries to another URL? I.e the Photoshop Introduction courses that are on there, rather than clicking that and it bringing me to the event page, I would ideally want this instead to link to the PS product page.
Absolutely. You can tweak any view to your liking easily.
The proper way to do this is through a template customization of the view you want to tweak. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
