    Hello,

I’m using the Advocate Theme by two2twelve, and they bake in The Event Calendar into the plugin (http://support.t2themes.com/knowledgebase/how-do-i-add-events-to-the-advocate-homepage/)
The functionality, however, is limited in the theme, and there’s no place to enter a license for The Event Calendar Pro. So I installed The Event Calendar plugin and The Event Calendar Pro plugin, but it won’t work with the theme.
Here’s what my admin panel looks like with the default events calendar:

    Here’s the plugin version:

I thought the developer of the theme would support this, but here’s the response I received from them:

    “Hi Phil,

Unfortunately we are not able to advise on 3rd-party plugins. Your best bet would be to contact the plugin developer about this and see what they suggest.”

    What do you suggest?

    Thanks,
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

It’s a fairly unusual situation. One problem that comes to mind is that our plugin versions must be in-synch if they are to work properly (ie, if you use The Events Calendar 2.0.11 you must also use Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11) and it’s not clear which version is baked into the theme or if it has been modified substantially, etc.

I appreciate the theme vendor’s position but would you be able to get back in touch with them and ask if there is a means of disabling their “baked in” events calendar functionality?
