Please consider making select2 selector more specific

Greetings!

Currently the plugin loads select2 on every admin page, which is fine, and then using .select2 as the selector. This is fine, but also imposes the settings you use on any further select2 elements introduced by other themes/plugins. Since this is specific to the event pages, please consider limiting the script to those pages, and then using a different or more specific selector to avoid conflicts. The 250px width option is frustrating.

I appreciate this feedback, @papertower, and agree with you that our configurations of Select2 should not affect instances of Select2 outside of our own plugins.

I have filed a bug report about this and will post again in this thread when there is news about an update that fixes this problem.

That could several weeks or more, to be honest—but I assure that this thread will eventually be updated with news if there is news to share.
