    Hi Triber’s!
I’m using TEC Pro and filter bar on my second site. Thanks for the awesome plugin. So far I definitely see it as the best option for WordPress Events Calendars out there.

I wanted to request some guidance. I have everything setup and working on an ‘Events’ page. I want to be able to give a little more emphasis to the events on my homepage, while also keeping my main query of event reviews and news in the main content of the homepage. Right now I’m running the Events Calendar Widget in the sidebar on the homepage but I wanted to see if it may be possible to call the Filterbar into the sidebar on the homepage and have that effect the queries in the Events Calendar Widgets, either the Calendar Widget or the Event’s Listing Widget. I know from this post that you can get the Filterbar into the sidebar which I’d be comfortable doing, but I’m not sure 1) if it could have any effect on the widget content, 2)if there is another query for a different post type in the main content if this would override any effect it might have on the widgets output.

Thanks a lot for any guidance you might be able to share.

In case you check out the dev site, you’ll need user: dan pw: goessolo to get past the curtain.

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can answer your questions here.

So unfortunately, the widgets are not going to work with the Filter Bar they are actually hard coded to not work with the Filter Bar so that there is no conflict if a widget is on a main event view.

I can see a more robust widget filter being a good idea, if you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
