Place single event in potfolio page

Hi Team,

I was wondering if the new shortcode of version 3.4 can be used to place single events in a portfolio page. When I go through the details, it seems that I can only place the whole calendar. I was hoping for a shortcode that would place an event in a portfolio page.

I use the Purple Patch theme, but Right now, when creating events, I cannot use the color picker functionality that makes the theme so attractive.

Perhaps there’s a workaround to integrate the events calendar more with the theme? I guess this is a general issue?

Regarding the theme color issues, have you visited Events > Settings > Display and tried different options found there? Another option would be to use the ‘Inspect’ tool to make changes with CSS. This YouTube Video is a great way to learn.
