We have the descriptive text for events formatted with specific line breaks, as shown here: http://vashoncenterforthearts.org/event/shakespeare-a-midsummer-nights-dream/2018-04-17/

But on the aggregate page – in which we use Photo View – the descriptive text loses it’s formatting and just becomes run on text:

    Education

How can I prevent this? thx

    Hi Susan

You can definitely override this. You’ll just need to enter the information into the event post excerpt. https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/wordpress-excerpt/ is a decent guide on working with WordPress excerpts.

What I’d suggest is to create your normal content in the body of the event. Then switch from the “visual” tab in the top right of the body content to the “text” tab. This will create pre-formatted HTML that you can copy/paste into the excerpt. It should maintain formatting this way.

Let me know if this works for you.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
