Photo View doesn't sort properly

I noticed that when I change the View to Photo, my events are not sorted correctly. I have events showing December before June, etc.

Hi, veruska. Great question! 🙂

What you’re seeing appears to be correct, but it’s a little confusing because you’re notice that May is slightly higher than June, but to the right-hand side because the featured image for April is shorter than the others in the top row. Assuming all the featured images were the same height, they should display in a more intuitive order.

I see … it doesn’t force to sort by the Event Date. Oh, well … bad news because I will always have to remember to crop pictures to the same size. Sometimes it is not easy to crop and keep the proportional ratio, but if this is what it is, I guess I will have to live with that. Thank you anyway for your prompt response.

That’s certainly true, veruska. Unfortunately, it’s a limitation of the masonry format (which many users find visually compelling. I think if the images as different enough sizes, it’s less confusing. The issue come when they’re very close to the same size.
