Permalink to most recent event

So I am not sure if this is a pre-sale question or not. (This plugin came bundled with a theme I purchased, so I don’t know where to find the license to register in the non-pre-sale part of this forum). Basically, I am looking to create a permalink that I include in my Primary Navigation menu to take the user to either the next upcoming event (or most recent past event if there are none). I don’t want to have to update this link every time I add a new event. Is there some way I can create this? I am not trying to get the list of most recent events, but rather go directly to the event page of the most recent event.

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ll help you here…

If the plugin came bundled with a theme you might need to ask the theme authors for the license (I don’t think they provide a premium license). Regarding your inquire there’s no link to get the next upcoming event (or the latest pas event), you’ll need to create some custom code to get that working. The tribe_get_events function will probably the way to go if you decide to go this way, also be sure to check this article: Using tribe_get_events.
