With the new release of event calendar pro version 4, can you list a particular past event? rather than listing past events for a particular week?

Good question! That is not a new feature, I’m afraid. However, you may want to consider something like the Ultimate Posts Widget, which does allow you to display a specific custom post (like Events) and have flexible control over what is displayed.
