ParticipantDear ET, apologies in advance for a potentially lame question:
On my website http://spainculturescience.co.uk/events/ somehow I disabled the ‘previous events’ link
My client wants now to display the ‘past events’ archive
Is there a link to past events?
Can you help me to restore the ‘past events’ link on the events page as in http://www.mosca.org.uk/events01/ ?
Many thanks as usual

KeymasterHi Pau,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can find your past events here: http://spainculturescience.co.uk/events/?tribe_event_display=past
You can create a link to this page and add it to a menu or something similar if you’d like that displayed.
As for restoring your previous events link, you can try the following snippet:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/add-nextprevious-links/
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Thanks Jaime, very helpful
Regarding the recovery of past / previous events links, I don’t want just to force it in month view, I want to recover it on Photo view mainly, as in this other website of mine: http://www.mosca.org.uk/events01/
Do you know how I can do that?
🙂

KeymasterHi Pau,
Unfortunately it is difficult for me to assist in restoring these links without getting some more information, but I will try to point you in the right direction. Have you made changes to the plugin code, or added a customization to the plugin files, which may have caused this functionality to disappear?
You can find the the code for the navigation in the plugin files by going to events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/photo
You can see the navigation there in /nav.php and the navigation is added in /content.php
Also, our Themer’s Guide can give you some more advice on how to copy and edit our plugin files.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Pau,
Thanks for providing me with that information. You can compare your template overrides for those files with the original files in our plugin and see what changes may have been made. From there, you can try adding back in the code that may be missing to see if that brings back the navigation.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime, me again
I’m afraid I cannot fix the problem yet (beyond my knowledge, all this)
Also, on the past events page you suggested (http://spainculturescience.co.uk/events/?tribe_event_display=past), the events are showing from older to newer; is there a shortcode or similar where I can call past events and some filters, (like changing ascending from descending)?
Sorry for being a little slow on that, I really appreciate your help
all the best

KeymasterHi Pau,
You can download a fresh copy of the current version of our plugin, or a previous version on you Downloads page. That should restore the functionality you need. Before doing so, please create a backup of your site, just in case.
You can use the [tribe_events] shortcode and add in a date range, so that it forces the shortcode to display past events.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
