Paid Ticket + Free Guest

Hi There,

Our client is using the Events Calendar Pro, Events Ticket Plus, and Woocommerce to create and sell event tickets.

What I am trying to take care of is that when a user purchases a ticket they have the option to bring a free guest from their household. Initially, I implemented this functionality using the ticket fieldset to state that they would like to bring a guest. The problem with this solution is that it does not update the stock/attendance list with this information. So if there are 50 tickets available and 4 people purchase them it goes down to 46. However, if 3 of those 4 people want to bring a guest it should actually be 43 tickets available on both the frontend and the backend.

They also need the ability to manually add orders (people phone them in) with guests using the “Add Order” interface in Woocommerce.

I am looking for possible solutions to this problem. Any help or suggestions would be great!

Thanks for reaching out.

The best thing our plugins provide for this, at this time, is the very “ticket fieldset” (aka “Attendee Information”) fields you mention.

It’s true that there’s no stock integration with these fields—there is no way to do this at this time. And so the features you’re describing are not possible “out of the box” with our plugins. 🙁

These features are technically possible, but would unfortunately require many code customizations to implement. You would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
