Override functions.php

I have been on the forums and looking the themer’s guide – but how can I override the functions.php? Is it possible by copying the function.php into a …/child-them/tribe-events/ folder?

the changes i am making only seem to work if I modify the …/Child-Them/function.php file directly.

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

The functions.php file in your theme and child theme cannot be overridden.

If you have a parent and child theme WordPress will load each file.

And as you said the only way to make changes is to directly edit it.
