ParticipantOur church recently got a new hosting site so have new IP address. Still same domain name. It states we are out of installs. Would not like to have to manually download new updates every time. Is there a way you can reset this? Our key has not expired. I’ve been waiting for this new update to fix the “this event is passed” problem. I’m new to all of this, so I’m not experienced enough to figure out all of these issues. Hopefully I don’t run into problems when updating to this new update to fix one issue and get another. 🙂 For a non website designer, I need help!

ParticipantIf you’re logged in, go to https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys/ and disconnect the site URL listed there. Then go back to your ECP Settings on your website, remove the existing key, save, then add teh key again.
I’m going out on a limb, but I bet this will resolve your problem.

ParticipantYes that worked! Now can you tell me why the Update 3.2 is not showing up for Events Calendar but it is for pro? I’m not sure how to do it manually and would like help, please.

ParticipantI have a similar problem, but with the Staging area in WP Engine. If I go to do the upgrade in the staging area, it thinks of it as a different install and then runs out of keys. Kind of kills the point of a staging area. What can I do?

@saintrichard The core (TEC) runs off of WordPress’s built in updater. Our Pro extension runs off our own updater. Are you familiar with how to use an FTP program (like Filezilla)?November 22, 2013 at 7:14 am #78044Chris
