Organizer-fields.php changes not showing on Submit Event form

Hi,

We’re experienced with making template overrides and wanted to reorder the fields that display in the Organizer meta box on the Community Events Submit an Event form. So, we copied /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules/organizer-fields.php to [our-theme]/tribe-events/community/modules/organizer-fields.php

However, we’ve found that the changes are not taking effect on the front end submission form or the WP-admin Edit Organizer pages. It appears the override is only taking effect on the Edit Organizer pages (e.g. /events/community/edit/organizer/1234/)

Are there any known bugs that could be causing this issue?

Hi Karly,

The box to create an organizer that appears on the event creation screen is actually coming from wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/admin-views/create-organizer-fields.php. Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to edit these files like you can the front end views. The only way to make this change would be to edit the core files, which is not recommended because your changes will be overwritten as soon as you update the plugin. I’m sorry for the bad news here!

I would recommend posting this as a feature request over in our Feature Ideas Forum, which is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.
