The default payment options tab for CE says ‘paypal’ even it that is not a payment option .

It would be great for people to be able to select the payment methods that ‘that user’ wants with a global override to lock particular methods of payment.

    Eg:

    Global:
    x Stripe
    o Paypal [optional]
o Pay at the door (aka cash) [optional]

    User:
x Stripe (you must offer this option)
    o Paypal [optional]
o Pay at the door (aka cash) [optional]

Would be great for them to be able to enter their payment details also using a private salt by site owner so that community events could then enter their payment details and they could be encrypted for the site owner to view when they pay out a user. I guess this could be paypal AND BankName/BSB/Account No at first also.

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

    For the first issue:

The default payment options tab for CE says ‘paypal’ even it that is not a payment option .

Is that in reference to the Payment Option available to Event Organizer creating events on your site under their accounts at “http://example.com/events/community/payment-options”?

Currently, the only payment option available for organizers creating events to split payments on the site is to use PayPal.

We do have a feature request for the integration with Stripe that we would love to get your votes on though. You can check out that conversation here https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/13051791-add-stripe-to-community-tickets

    Thanks!

    There are two issues here:

    1) you are handling something that should be handled by woocommerce using ‘groups’ or a ‘mall’ type feature.
    2) that option shouldn’t even be showing there if I don’t have split payments enabled.

Ironically the functionality that IS hidden because of split payments being off is the ability for a seller to absorb the fees or not and other option. I think this is all back the front… the two hidden fields should be visible _always_ and the paypal item should not be visible if split payments isn’t.

–> This is about to become an architectural review really… 😉

    3) The other issue is most ticketing companies hold the money until the event runs so they can refund tickets should the event not run (or such). This means that either 1) a bank account or 2) a credit account (paypal/stripe/etc) needs to be entered to be paid out at the end.

This needs to be modularised (like you have with ticket type, but pleeeeeeease make it easier to implement than tickets #sigh)… so that the events calendar ‘DETECTS’ the payment plugins installed and their features (aka split peyments for stripe/paypal), and also allows for services like NAB Transact (aussie bank) to take the details and store a token (like stripe does) for BSB and bank account details for direct debt without storing sensitive information.

    Hey Chris,

These are definitely interesting ideas and something that I’m sure we’d love to consider for future inclusion into our plugins. For that, we’d love to get your input on our UserVoice page.

However, at this time, the only option that we do have for site visitors or members to create and sell tickets from your site would be to use PayPal for processing those tickets.

    Thanks!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
