Only list three next events with photo view

Hi there,

I have my upcoming events page set up how I would like (apart from wanting to disable the “Upcoming events” heading as I have my own showing – is this possible?).

You can see my main events page here for reference (I am using the short code as I wanted it to be a full width page)

I would also like to display the next three upcoming events on the home page however when I tried the shortcode [tribe-events limit “3”] and it didn’t work – it just listed all of the events. Could you please advise where I am going wrong. Of course I want them in photo view like the events page for maximum visual impact.

Hi Kelly

Can you try this shortcode instead by exactly copy/pasting it:

[tribe_events_list limit=”13″]

You can add the following code to your child theme, or in Appearance » Customize » Additional CSS. However, it will impact all posts/pages with a title in the same location.


.et_pb_slide_title {display: none !important}


This is a function of your theme. It would be helpful to reach out to your theme developer to narrow that down to just the /events page.

Thank you for your reply Courtney, however using the list view it lists them down the page where as I need them to display as they are on the main events page in photo view – only with the three latest events. Hence why I tried using this code [tribe_events limit=”3″] – it doesn’t limit the amount of events though.

In the case of the photo view, the shortcode would be

[tribe_events view=”photo”]

Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to limit the amount of entries on this view.

To remove the title on that page, I’d suggest reaching out to your theme developer as it is a function of your theme. They would know how to best disable the title on just that page vs. all pages.
