old version of PRO not communicating with 3.0

So I got the weird message about the license key being out of installs, I clicked to renew the license and paid $35 and now have 3.0.3 but the license key still has the error message
I tried deactivating the plugin to install the new PRO 3.0 version zip file but it failed because it was already installed but if I delete it all the data will deleate and I have dozens of events scheduled!
How can I get this back working as awesome as it was?
Currently I see:
The Events Calendar 3.0.1
The Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11
*Am I safe to delete The Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11 and re-install the 3.0 file I renewed? Is all the data for all events stored in the The Events Calendar main file?
*Could it be that my site URL shows as broomfieldbrc.com in the license key section on Modern Tribe account…..and a couple months ago I changed the site-structure to show the site as http://www.broomfieldbrc.com….would I want to disconnect it and then re-connect??

Hi broomfieldbrc,

Thanks for the note. The reason you are getting the message about the license key is because the license key is still registered on that other url. You can see what site the key is registered to and un-register it from https://tri.be/my-account/license-keys/. You can also read about moving a key here.

Once you have that inputted in the Events –> Settings License Key Tab, you should be able to do a smooth automatic update. However, you can also delete the PRO 2.0.11 and install 3.0- it should transfer nicely without data loose, but we always recommend backing up your site before doing something like that. Let me know if you have any further issue with the license key and I’ll be happy to help out.

OK that helped! I was able to get the license key activated on the same site, just with the www in front and I have a green light next to the license
NOW…..the issue is that when I go to my events page I see just the events listed but none of the graphics show up….but when I go to the event to edit it everything is showing there. Is there a setting I need to tweak?

Glad to hear the license key is working now! Excellent.

For the other issue, I’m honestly not sure- I don’t believe that’s a setting, but it may be a theme issue or something else that changed with 3.0. Would you mind starting a fresh thread with the details so we can look into this further?
