Old recurring event dates on widget

The widgets on my newly updated plugin seem to be showing events from over a month ago. I noticed that it’s mostly affecting recurring events, but it’s showing the old dates. I looked through the settings but can’t find the culprit. Any ideas? It’s on the right sidebar of this page:

Thanks for contacting us! From what I can tell it looks like it is working well!

What you are seeing is by design. When the page loads, the widget shows the next ‘x’ amount of events, as you define in the widget. Recurring events, that fall within the ‘upcoming’ period get shown as a single event on the first available day (today) and then repeated events are ignored.
