Odd month view display behavior

I am using the Divi theme. There are two websites with identical settings. However on one the category colors show up in the month view, and on the other, they are grey. I have verified the versions, license keys, deactivated and reactivated the plugins. The same plugins are installed on both sites.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do the resolve this?

I’m not sure we had this problem before, but if you are willing to work on it with me, then I can help you find the source of the issue.

As first I checked the code of the 2 sites. It seems that on the techpal site there is the following css code put in somewhere, which overwrites the category colors:

.events-archive.events-gridview #tribe-events-content table .type-tribe_events {
border-color: #e4e4e4;
}


This is done through The Events Calendar Customizer (Appearance > Customize > The Events Calendar). So setting made there overwrites the category colors.
