ParticipantAre you considering adding in the next update of the CALENDAR PRO, a recurrence by date-range feature?
As of today, in order to create not consecutive multi-day events, I need to create more exceptions than recurrences! That’s crazy. For instance, for an event taking place on the following set of dates:
Thursday 4th to Friday 5th February 2016
Thursday 7th to Friday 8th April 2016
Thursday 2nd to Friday 3rd June 2016
Thursday 18th to Friday 19th August 2016
Thursday 13th to Friday 14th October 2016
Thursday 1st to Friday 2nd December 2016I created two recurrences (one for the first Thursday of the month, and one for the third) and then I had to create 19 exceptions!! Talk about efficiency… see here: http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/923814/b1215d9c3b18d59fc1481c928957b38c
Why don’t you simply offer the possibility to add individual future events by DATE? That is, exactly the same feature as the EXCEPTION, but… for the recurrences. Just add “Date” to the dropdown list in “Custom” recurrence creation. I don’t see where the problem is. Unless you’re planning to sell this as a premium feature too?
I really don’t understand why this feature hasn’t been included yet. It’s a must.
Thanks

MemberGood evening Nicolas and welcome to the Events Calendar support forum!
Thank you for your great suggestions, they are truly appreciated.
In fact, I would suggest adding this idea and any other idea you might have to our User Voice Forum (you can even vote on other people’s ideas there). As you can guess, the more votes, the more likely a new feature will get implemented.
Are you considering adding in the next update of the CALENDAR PRO, a recurrence by date-range feature?
The short answer is no. This feature is not part of our upcoming releases (although it is a great idea).
Please rest assured that we always try to provide our customers with the most efficient workflows with the intent of covering as many scenarios as possible.
That being said, in your specific case, I can see how setting a recurring event with that schedule can be a lot of work. Wow!
As you might guess, we receive tons of feature suggestions every day and we try to get them implemented as fast as we can based on their level of popularity.
Is there anything else I can help you with today ?
Have an awesome day!
