    Hello there,

We have a version of Events Calendar Pro but it was purchased by our marketing agency on our behalf and therefore I only have the licence key and not a log in for support.

I want to use the weekly widget to display a weeks worth of events on our website but only Monday through Friday and also with the addition of a text extract from the detail of each event displayed under the title. I have been able to remove the weekend days from the week view by inserting the shortcode tags instead of using the widget but cannot include any event detail text. Also, I have discovered that doing it this way also leads to another problem in that I cannot print the list – I just get a blank page – however, when using the widget (aside from some print styling issues) I can still print it. This is key for us as we have to produce a handout for patients through our health centre and produce posters.

How can I hack the widget so that I can achieve my aim?
You can see what I’m trying to do here, by way of an example: http://www.wellspringhlc.org.uk/whats-on-at-wellspring/
The top calendar is the widget, bottom is using shortcode

    Thanks for the help

    Darren

    Hey Darren,

Really sorry for the trouble here.

We recommend that clients own their own licenses explicitly for this reason, as described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/client-or-dev/

We unfortunately can only provide premium support to folks with active licenses who are logged into those licensed accounts on this site.

So I would recommend having your developer/marketer share their credentials on this site with you so that you can log in with their account information and post in our premium forums for support.

If they are not a party to that, then I would recommend having them request a refund for the license from us. We will refund their license, and then they can reimburse you the cost of a license, then you can buy your own license and proceed from there.

I am genuinely sorry for the trouble this creates.

If you have further questions about this, please do not post in the forums, as issues related to licensing and accounts can invoke the need to discuss personal account information and license keys. So please email us at support at theeventscalendar.com instead (you can include a link back to this thread for reference/context if you’d like).

    Thank you!
    George

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
