ParticipantI have built a website on WordPress and am using Events Calendar Pro here: http://69.195.124.167/~eastbbc2/events It works great!
I have one page on the site set as a Posts type page where our users can post flyers as announcements (I realize this is a little weird but this is what they want to do), so this page is supposed to be more like a blog where each flyer will have a date and title associated with it. (http://69.195.124.167/~eastbbc2/announcements)
For some reason, when generating my posts, an erroneous permalink is created ( http://69.195.124.167/~eastbbc2/http:/69.195.124.167/~eastbbc2?post_type=tribe_events) that I cannot change. Note how it ends in post_type=tribe_events. I have no idea why this is happening and it is causing an error if person viewing the page happens to click on the title of each post or the image in the post… it takes them to the Event Calendar and a message appears “No Events Found”.
These posts (i.e. – flyer announcements) have nothing to do with the Calendar and I cannot figure out why the post permalinks are defaulting to the tribe_event. Can you please help?
Thanks.August 22, 2014 at 1:21 pm #692187Brian
MemberHello,
I took a look at your site and see the problem and not sure what is causing it, but I will help get to the bottom of this.
Can you first try out testing for conflicts and see what changes on your site. I understand the announcements page will not work if in another theme so that may not help.

Also, what does the coding look like that is creating the titles on that page? ( It appears to echoing two links there. )
What is the name of the custom post type you created for the Announcement Posts?
That should help me get a little closer to the problem. So let me know about those and we can take the next step.
Thanks

ParticipantAfter discussing this with the Weaver folks (my theme), it seemed it just required a simple changing of WordPress’s Permalinks setting to either default or numeric (for some reason I had a custom type set up that was creating the link to tribe_events. This is resolved. Thanks.
