No Taxes by Default on Tickets

There are never to be taxes on the events that we put in the calendar, but each event adds tickets with taxes set as the default. I cannot remove the taxes from WooCommerce as I sell products that are to have taxes.

Hi – great question!

If you go to the event editor and look at the list of tickets you should see a link that lets you edit the product in WooCommerce’s product editor. From there you should be able to set the product’s tax status to none.

That would. I was hoping there was a way to fix it so that future events would have it as a default status. It’s a lot more work to have to edit each ticket (post setup) when you have a lot of events.

There’s nothing like that built-in, I’m afraid, so you’d have to code such a solution yourself. That said, we are always on the look out for new feature requests if you’re game to post one (either for this as a prospective feature, or else a tutorial to make this happen, or both!).

I don’t think there’s much more we can do to assist on this one right now so I’ll go ahead and close our the thread, but please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed if we can help with anything else.
